Trois morceaux Op.4-3 Impromptu

Op. 4, Trois Morceaux - II. Mazurka and III. Impromptu. Reproductions of the original sheet music published by Jurgenson in Leipzig and Moscow. These pieces were published in 1908, as shown by a review of the pieces in the 23 March 1908 issue of the Russian Musical Gazette . They were given the opus number 4, although Op. 7 - "Six Pièces" was published earlier.

It would appear that these pieces were composed before "Six Pièces" and were only published in 1908. The date of composition is uncertain.

At this time there is no copy of I. Prelude available, so only II. and III. are offered here.

These pieces were recorded by The Thomas DeHartmann Project and Elan Sicroff in 2016 and are available on CD by Nimbus Records as well as on Spotify.
